Food
"Working with food, cooking, is a labour of love for me. It’s alchemy, expression, art - a means of connection, of identifying and feeding a particular appetite that is rarely just about hunger. There are things we want to taste, memories we want to evoke, ways we want to be made to feel - surprised, comforted, healed. Food has the power to do all of those things."

Having worked in the industry for most of my adult life, my committed relationship with food has greater longevity than even my relationship with yoga! Previous adventures have included full time gelato making, working for a craft chocolate maker, training baristas for a coffee roastery, managing an independent cafe, and throughout it all spending all disposable income on sampling the culinary creations of other food lovers.
My favourite endeavours have been alongside my fabulous friend, chef and fellow yoga teacher Tessa J Pearson, with whom I regularly collaborate. With several sell-out pop-ups under our belts, we are resident cooks on the Salt Sisterhood yoga and wild swim retreats on the magical Helford river in Cornwall.

We create delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals inspired by a wealth of travel influences, with middle eastern and asian flavours featuring most prominently.
My years in the industry have allowed me to form personal connections with many of Cornwall’s growers, producers and creatives, so I know exactly where to go to get the best of local and ethical ingredients.
I also currently work for Falmouth’s zero waste shop Un_Rap, ensuring that waste is kept to an absolute minimum throughout.
